From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, demons, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the city.

The Warrior Group Unveiled
Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of heroes who will split off from the main group to embark on their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
As described by the DM, the warrior group is for players who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.
Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Moreover, each member has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the companion and best friend, desires retribution.
- Kattigan knows the region and cautions that it is a hostile place.
- The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their status as important members in House Halovar could help the team access places they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This results in them few options but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.
What’s Next?
From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Seekers and Strategists parties.
Audiences can expect finding out which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
